About this Album

In 1977, I was 26 years old. I had been raised in a Christian home, had run from the Lord and was in the process of recommitting my life to Christ. I moved to Nashville in the summer of '76 and began writing songs about my new commitment to God and His promises...

I wanted to express His love and power as best I could and the songs just came out like this. Some of them required the power of Rock, and some required the simplicity of keyboard and voice. One thing I remember clearly is that the songs were rooted in the character of God as expressed in His Word. For all my weakness, musical and personal, this one factor is still true...
