A long time ago in a not so far away place...
Koinonia is Greek for "fellowship", and that's very much the whole story. In the '70's there was a coffee house - a different look from Starbucks but not so different in that it gave folks a safe place to come and "let their hair down" (and in the '70's there was plenty of it to let down). It was quite different from today's coffee shops in that Jesus was the decided focal point, purpose and reason the place even came into existence.
On Saturday nights music rang out from that place that would become an incubator for not only people hungry for fellowship and direction in life, but for budding songwriters and musicians and young singers filled with a fire that burned so hot it etched a place in history there on the corner of 16th and grand that became the foundation for the pre-birthed contemporary Christian music industry.
